ἔδοξε τᾶι βουλᾶι καὶ τῶι δάμωι,γνώμα προστατᾶν· ἐπειδὴ Διο–κλῆς Δαμάρχου Ἀκαρνὰν τετα–γμένος πα[ρὰ] βασιλεῖ Πτολεμαί–ωι πρότερόν τε καλῶς καὶ οἰκεί–ως χρώμενος διετέλει καὶ κοιν[ᾶι]τῶι δάμωι καὶ ἰδίαι τῶμ πολιτᾶντοῖς ἐντυγχάνουσιν αὐτῶι καὶνῦν τὰν αὐτὰν προαίρεσιν ἔχεικαὶ τὰν εὔνοιαν τὰν ποτὶ τὸνδᾶμον διαφυλάσσει, δεδόχθαιτῶι δάμωι· ἐπαινέσαι τε αὐτὸνκαὶ ἦμεν πολίταν τᾶς πόλιοςτᾶς Κώιων καὶ ἐκγόνος μετέ–χοντας πάντων ὧμπερ καὶ τοὶἄλλοι Κῶιοι, τοὶ δὲ προστάται ἐπι–κλαρωσάντω αὐτοὺς ἐς φυλὰνκαὶ τριακάδα καὶ πεντηκοστύν,ὁποίας δέ κα λάχωντι φυλᾶ̣[ς]εὔντω· τὸ δὲ ψάφισμ[α μισθω]–[σ]άντω τοὶ πωλη[ταὶ ἀναγρά]–[ψαι ἐς στά]λαν λιθ[ίναν – – –]– – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Beschluss von Rat und Volk,nach Vorlage der Vorsteher: Da DioklesS.d. Damarchos, aus Akarnanien, als Offizierim Dienst bei König Ptolemaios,seit langem stets gut und freundlichverkehrt mit dem Volkinsgesamt und privat mit denihn ersuchenden Bürgern, undjetzt dieselbe Gesinnung hegtund dasselbe Wohlwollen demVolk gegenüber bewahrt, so mögebeschließen das Volk: dass man ihn belobigeund er Bürger der Stadt derKoer sei, er und seine Nachkommen, undsie dieselben Rechte haben wie auch dieübrigen Koer; die Vorsteher sollensie zulosen in Phyleund Dreißigschaft und Fünfzigschaft,und sie sollen Phylengenossen sein in der Phyle,die sie sich erlosen; die Poleten sollenverdingen, diesen Beschluss aufzuzeichnenauf eine steinerne Stele - - -
